Rep. Walsh said a special session has not been scheduled but that he and others continue to press for one. He said he and others are pressing the governor’s office for grace regarding the face mask order. Commissioner Fund asked that state leaders help identify sources for match funds for a telehealth and distance learning grants, for which applications are due the following week. Becky Butler discussed a grant available through Lewis County Together and the EDC. Matt Matayoshi clarified that the grants are not for nonprofits. Commissioner Fund discussed a City of Centralia grant available. Matt discussed application process. He said sole proprietorships whose businesses meet the requirements are eligible to receive funding. Pam Peiper of Rep. Herrera Beutler’s office said PPE funding has been extended. Tamara Hayes discussed Lewis County Together’s grant work and outreach efforts. Tamara and Cynthia Swift discussed using the Discover Lewis County kiosk to submit grant applications digitally. Matt said area restaurants and have indicated they’ve been hit hard. He said businesses that support home improvement project and outdoor sports have reported that they are doing very well. Teri Zambon said the Centralia Downtown Association has extended members’ membership and will hold a meeting later in the day. Becky Butler said she is setting up a meeting with area mayors to discuss CDBG CV-1. Meeting ended at 1:50 p.m.
