Matt Matayoshi said reviews are underway of applications for business grants the EDC and Lewis County
Together are administering on behalf of Lewis County.
Carson Coates of Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler’s Office and Christine Nhan of Sen. Patty Murray’s office
discussed work to provide additional funding in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Tamara Hayes said COVID-19 testing sites will be added to the Lewis County Together website.
Commissioner Fund said Employment Security has reported that 2,191 Lewis County residents were
unemployed in June.
The group discussed the possible extension of additional unemployment benefits.
County Manager Erik Martin discussed efforts to move forward with broadband funding at the state
Public Works.
