Business Meeting minutes
July 6, 2021
Present: Commissioner Stamper,Commissioner Pollock, Commissioner Swope

Commissioner Stamper called the meeting to order at 2 p.m., determined a quorum and then proceeded
with the flag salute.
PUBLIC COMMENT
None.
CONSENT ITEMS
Commissioner Pollock made a motion to approve minutes from the June 29,2021, meeting as well as
Resolution 21-248. Commissioner Swope seconded.
Resolution 21-248:Approval of warrants/claims against the various county departments.
Chief accountant Grace Jimenez, representing the Auditor's Office, said warrants 843,569 through
843,800 and direct disbursements 3644 through 3646 were issued in June and July for payments against
the county totaling$1,667,323.61. She said payroll/tax deposit warrants numbered 795,834 through
795,836 and Automatic Deposits 27,314 through 27,897 also were approved for payments against the
county totaling$1,082,333.00. Grace noted a skip in sequence for warrants 843,534 through 843,568,
which were issued on behalf of Special Purpose Districts.
Motion passed 3-0.
COVID-19
JP Anderson said the following day's update will include information regarding mass vaccination events
and the county's local emergency declaration.
Commissioner Swope asked for an update regarding the state's quarantine facility at Lakeview in
Centralia. He noted that the area hosted a 200-team tournament for which there was no hotel vacancy.

JP said Wayne Clifford of the state Health Department plans to move by the end of July but may be
stalled until the end of August.
PUBLIC COMMENT
Frank Dipola said he feels he has been deceived regarding his work related to a project he is working on
Spring Street property. He said he feels his work on the development has been stalled because of a false
accusation from the past. Frank said his neighbors approached him for an easement and that he
declined. He asked if lawyers are given preferential treatment because his neighbors installed lines
without permits.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Ron Averill quipped about the brevity of the day's meeting.
Commissioner Pollock noted that the Business Meeting moves to 10 a.m.Tuesdays effective July 13.
