Lisa Dowling of Polco provided a presentation on the company’s citizen engagement package, which
would help meet the citizen engagement requirements linked to American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA)
funding.
Becky Butler said she is creating a funding request package.
Becky said Treasury released its 50-page reporting tool Aug. 10. She said the first expenditure report is
due in October.
Becky said WSAC held discussions Aug. 10 regarding how to calculate lost revenues.
Becky said she and Todd Chaput met with Napavine to share timelines and offer other outreach.
Todd and Richard DeBolt discussed the perks of having the GIS map of area projects available.
Todd said he met with Morton Mayor Dan Mortensen and Commissioner Stamper the previous week.
He said he also met with the PUD and Boistfort Valley Water. Todd said he will meet with a state
Commerce representative later in the day. He said he also will meet with ToledoTel and Rainier Connect
later in the week.
Richard, Todd and Becky said they would coordinate to make sure the commissioners are invited to any
one-on-one ARPA meetings with entities in the commissioners’ districts.
The commissioners said they’d like to move the Sept. 3 Mayors’ Meeting to Sept. 10 due to the Labor
Day holiday.
Becky said the county continues efforts to hire a grants manager.
