Business Meeting agenda
Commissioner Swope made a motion to add to the Sept. 28, 2021, Business Meeting Resolution 21-351:
Modify Lewis County burn restriction to allow recreational fires and solid fuel BBQ use in all lands
regulated by Lewis County.
Commissioner Pollock seconded.
Lee Napier noted that changes in the weather have allowed restrictions to be eased.
Motion passed 2-0.
Legislative Roundtable
The commissioners reviewed agenda items for the Legislative Roundtable.
Among funding request topics:
• 911 infrastructure
• North Lewis County Industrial Area (NLCIA) interchange
• Rush Road interchange

American Rescue Plan Act survey (Polco)
Becky Butler discussed postcards for the upcoming Polco survey. The commissioners said they would like
the commissioners’ names listed without signatures.
Lower Columbia Fish Recovery Board
The commissioners said they would both serve as alternates on the Lower Columbia Fish Recovery
Board (LCFRB). Commissioner Swope said he would attend the Oct. 1 meeting.
Calendars
The commissioners discussed their calendars.
• Tuesday, Oct. 5: Budget presentation (per RCW)
• Friday, Oct. 8, EDC annual banquet at Jesters: Commissioner Swope said he would attend.
• Monday, Oct. 25, annual flood meeting is 1 p.m. at Jesters: Commissioner Pollock said she
would like to open the flood meeting. Josh Metcalf said he would move the Solid Waste Disposal
District meeting to 2 p.m. that day to accommodate the meeting.
• Nov. 16-18: WSAC County Leaders conference. The commissioners said they would cancel the
Nov. 16 Business Meeting.
COVID-19
JP Anderson discussed a future request for proposals (RFP) for a cold weather shelter to help homeless
individuals during the pandemic.
