Rieva Lester discussed the following three proclamations:
• One designating October as Domestic Violence Action Month.
• One designating October 2021 as Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
• And the final one recognizing the Great Washington Shake Out at 10:21 a.m. October 21, 2021.
JP Anderson discussed a resolution to approve a Request for Proposals for a Seasonal Emergency Shelter
running November 1, 2021, to March 31, 2022, funded through document and recording fees
Becky Butler discussed a notice of hearing for the Lewis County 2021 budget emergency and
supplemental appropriations to and transfers within current expense and various funds.
Erik Martin discussed a notice of hearing regarding a franchise to Larson Dairy LLC to install, construct,
operate and maintain water facilities in Lewis County rights of way.
Erik Martin discussed a notice of hearing regarding a franchise to Boistfort Valley Water to install,
construct, operate and maintain water facilities in Lewis County rights of way.
Rieva Lester discussed a resolution to change the Chair and Vice Chair for the Lewis County Board of
County Commissioners for the remainder of 2021.
Lee Napier discussed a resolution to authorize the Chair or Vice Chair to sign the Community Rating
System Annual Recertification Document.
Erik Martin discussed a resolution to change the salary rate for the Lewis County Board of Equalization
Board members.
Erik Martin discussed a resolution to approve an Intergovernmental Cooperative Agreement between
Lewis County and the United States Geological Service.
Commissioner Swope made a motion to move three presentations, four notice items, two consent items
and four deliberation items to the Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2021, BOCC agenda.
Commissioner Pollock seconded the motion.
Motion passed 2-0.
COVID-19
JP Anderson said the number of cases appears to be waning.
Announcements
Matt Jaeger discussed an uptick in cybersecurity attacks.
Becky Butler asked that offices and departments prepare for upcoming budget meetings.
Doug Carey said demolition work will wrap up later in the day. He said the county will meet with its
contractor for the Juvenile project later in the week. Erik Martin asked that the county take photos
Connie Riker said the county has applied for and continues to apply for grant funding.
Wednesday Workshop
Commissioner Swope made a motion to approve a nunc pro tunc fix for Resolution 21-354 to correct a
scrivener’s error.
Commissioner Pollock seconded.
Motion passed 2-0.

Commissioner Swope said the Housing Summit has been postponed until Dec. 2.
