Accept a grant from WA State Dept of Agriculture Fairs Program, SWWF BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
LEWIS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
IN THE MATTER OF: RESOLUTION NO. 22-007
ACCEPT A GRANT FROM THE WASHINGTON
STATE DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE FAIRS
PROGRAM TOWARD A REMODEL AND
RESTRUCTURED USE OF THE SWINE AREA ON
THE SOUTHWEST WASHINGTON FAIRGROUNDS
WHEREAS, Lewis County has been awarded a grant toward remodeling the swine
area on the Southwest Washington Fairgrounds; and
WHEREAS, the Washington State Department of Agriculture Fairs Programs has
awarded a Capital Projects Grant in the amount of $250,000 to assist Lewis
County with this project; and
WHEREAS, it appears to be in the best public interest to authorize the execution
of the grant document to accept this grant funding.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners
(BOCC) agrees to accept the offer in the amount of $250,000 from the
Department of Agriculture Fairs Program; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the BOCC authorizes the
Director of Parks & Recreation to sign the grant agreement on its behalf.
