Amend salary grid for the Corrections Guild, the Lewis County Deputies Guild, Teamsters Local No. 252, BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
LEWIS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
IN THE MATTER OF: RESOLUTION NO. 22-009
AMEND THE SALARY GRID FOR THE
CORRECTIONS GUILD, REPRESENTING THE
SHERIFF'S CORRECTIONS GROUP; THE LEWIS
COUNTY DEPUTIES GUILD, REPRESENTING THE
SHERIFF'S OPERATIONS BUREAU; AND
TEAMSTERS LOCAL NO. 252, REPRESENTING THE
SHERIFF'S SERGEANTS AND LIEUTENANT GROUP
WHEREAS, the Corrections Guild, representing the Sheriff's Corrections group;
the Teamsters Local No. 252 ("Union"), representing the Sheriff's Sergeants and
Lieutenants group, and Lewis County ("County") (collectively the "Parties")
negotiated in good faith a Collective Bargaining Agreement covering the period of
January 1, 2020, to December 31, 2022; and
WHEREAS, the Lewis County Deputies Guild, representing the Sheriff's
Operations Bureau, and the County (collectively the "Parties") negotiated in good
faith a Collective Bargaining Agreement covering the period of January 1, 2019, to
December 31, 2021; and
WHEREAS, the County has conducted a countywide salary study wherein the
amount of compensation for each employment position within the County was
evaluated. The results of the study and the revision of the compensation for each
position are set forth as agreed upon by the Parties as reflected in the attached
MOU; and
WHEREAS, the Parties wish to amend the CBA to reflect and incorporate the
revised salary schedule as reflected in the attached MOU.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners
(BOCC); the Corrections Guild, representing the Sheriff's Corrections group; the
Lewis County Deputies Guild, representing the Sheriff's Operations Bureau; and
the Teamsters Local No. 252, representing the Sheriff's Sergeants and Lieutenant
group, shall be placed on the new 2021 Lewis County Salary Grid effective April 1,
2021, as set forth in the attached MOU.

Memorandum of Understanding
The Lewis County Deputies Guild ("Guild") representing the Sheriffs Operations Bureau
and Lewis County ("County") (collectively the "Parties") negotiated in good faith a Collective
Bargaining Agreement covering the period of January 1, 2019, to December 31, 2021 (the
"CBA").
The County has conducted a County-side salary study wherein the amount of
compensation for each employment position within the County was evaluated. The results of
the study and the revision of the compensation for each position are set forth as attached to
this MOU as Exhibit A.
The revised compensation amounts are set forth in the Exhibit A. Hence, the parties
wish to amend the CBA to reflect and incorporate the revised salary schedule which is attached
hereto as Exhibit A and further amends Appendix B—Section 16.3, effective 4/1/21 of the CBA.
Now therefore, the Parties agree as follows:
Only the amendment of the revised Appendix B of the CBA which appears as a table
reflecting the position classifications and salary grades, is hereby amended to read as set forth
as in the attached Exhibit A.
This Memorandum of Understanding shall be effective as of April 1, 2021.
