Jan. 25 Business Meeting: Commissioner Swope made a motion to add the following to the Jan. 25,
2022, Business Meeting:
• Resolution 22-020: Approve Amendment D to the Mass Vaccination Agreement between Lewis
County and Bird’s Eye Medical for COVID-19 vaccinations.
• Resolution 22-023: Appoint Candi Faupell to the Civil Service Commission.
Commissioner Grose seconded. Motion passed 3-0.
Dangerous Animal Designation Board: JP Anderson said Health is recommending Jon Sargeant for the
position. The commissioners said that sounded fine.
2022 .09 (Distressed Counties) committee: The commissioners discussed the proposed make-up of the
.09 committee.
Legislative update: Commissioner Pollock reviewed bills the legislature is considering, including SB 5116,
SB 5554 and 1838. Becky Butler noted the state also is reviewing a bill that would extend Distressed
Counties.
Multi-jurisdictional FEMA flood fund – request for contribution for 2022: Erik Martin said the county is
being asked to contribute $15,000 toward the flood fund. The commissioners said they are in support of
providing the funding to the Economic Alliance.
Minute folders: Commissioner Swope made a motion to approve minutes for the weeks of Dec. 27,
2021, and Jan. 3, 2022. Commissioner Grose seconded. Motion passed 3-0.
New business: Commissioner Swope said he has been talking to area doctors about filling the role of
local health officer.
