Rescind Resolution No. 21-216 and authorize County Manager to make future decisions regarding mask policies BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
LEWIS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
IN THE MATTER OF: RESOLUTION NO. 22-076
RESCIND RESOLUTION NO. 21-216 AND
AUTHORIZE THE COUNTY MANAGER TO MAKE
FUTURE DECISIONS REGARDING MASK POLICIES
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) created a Mask Mandate
policy for the departments under the BOCC through Resolution No. 21-216 on June
8, 2021, in response to mandates and guidance issued by the Governor's Office of
the State of Washington and the Washington Department of Labor & Industries
(L&I) in May 2021; and
WHEREAS, the Governor's Office and L&I eased statewide mask mandates for
Washington State employers effective March 12, 2022; and
WHEREAS, the BOCC wishes to rescind Resolution No. 21-216 and to also
authorize the County Manager to make future updates to county policies
regarding masking requirements as they relate to mandates and guidance issued
by the Governor's Office and L&I.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the BOCC hereby rescinds Resolution
No. 21-216; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED the BOCC delegates to the
County Manager future updates to county policies regarding masking
requirements as they relate to mandates and guidance issued by the Governor's
Office and L&I.
