DIRECTORS’ UPDATE
Matt Jaeger discussed a resolution to authorize the Director of Information Technology Services to
execute a purchase order with Justice AV Solutions.
Erika Katt discussed a resolution to approve an amended agreement between Lewis County and
Washington State Military Department for the FEMA Emergency Management Performance Grant and
authorizing signatures thereon.
Josh Metcalf discussed a resolution to list the bids received and contractor selected for the Centralia
Alpha Road MP 15.79 Culvert Replacement Project, CMP 1810.
Meja Handlen discussed a resolution to approve Amendment C01-0133-22-B to professional service
contract C01-0133-21 between Compass Career Solutions and Lewis County Public Health & Social
Services.
Meja Handlen discussed a resolution to approve Amendment A in the amount of $997,149 to contract
H02-0141-21 between Housing Resource Center and Lewis County Public Health and Social Services.
Meja Handlen discussed a resolution to approve a contract with DDA.
Rieva Lester discussed a resolution to increase Lewis County's 2022 mileage rate effective July 1, 2022.
Daleyn Coleman discussed a resolution to designate Lewis County Representatives on the Washington
Counties Risk Pool.
Josh Metcalf discussed a hearing to approve a franchise to the City of Toledo to install, construct,
operate and maintain water and sewer facilities in Lewis County road rights of way.
Commissioner Swope made a motion to move two consent items, eight deliberation items and one
hearing to the Tuesday, June 21, 2022, BOCC Business Meeting agenda. Commissioner Grose seconded
motion. Motion passed 3-0.
Announcements
Steve Wohld said Superior Court plans to request permission to use the county’s surplus building on
Main Street to provide transitional housing for Drug Court participants.
Becky Butler reminded the group to start reviewing their 2023 budgets.
Erik Martin and others discussed the previous day’s Cascadia Rising earthquake event. Erik discussed
team-building activities planned for the following week.
John Clark said Gary Smith will retire June 16 after more than 30 years with the county.
Connie Riker gave the following updates:
• Exhibitor entries will open by the week’s end.
• Fairgrounds is concerned that standing water may derail the SummerFest destruction derby.
• Barn Bash is June 17.
Meja Handlen said the Special Olympics torch run is June 17.
Becky encouraged offices and departments to provide feedback regarding the new PAF.
