Recorder: Rieva Lester Public comment: None. ESC Roundtable: No updates. Inclement weather: The group briefly reviewed the county’s inclement weather policy. Social media: Commissioner Swope said he would like to establish a policy prohibiting employees from downloading TikTok on county devices in response to cybersecurity concerns. The commissioners directed staff to draft a policy. DIRECTORS’ UPDATE Daleyn Coleman discussed a resolution to approve a collective bargaining agreement between Lewis County and the Lewis County Dispatchers Guild from December 2022 through December 2025. The commissioners said they’d like to see the red-line version. Josh Metcalf discussed a resolution to initiate county road construction projects and assign County Road Project (CRP) numbers. Matt Jaeger discussed a resolution to authorize the Director of Information Technology Services to Execute a Purchase Order with Cisco and Ednetics, an approved Cisco Partner. Matt Haeger discussed a resolution to authorize the Director of Information Technology Services to execute a purchase order with SHI International Corp for Security Information and Event Management software licenses. Rieva Lester discussed a resolution to set Lewis County's 2023 mileage rate for 2023. Erik Martin discussed a resolution to establish the Chair and Vice Chair for the Lewis County Board of County Commissioners for 2023. Shad Hail discussed a resolution to establish the mileage reimbursement rate for privately-owned vehicles used for the Guardian ad-Litem program. Becky Butler discussed a hearing for the Lewis County 2022 budget, emergency and supplemental appropriations to and transfers within current expense and other funds. Josh Metcalf discussed a resolution to approve a non-exclusive franchise renewal to Gunderson Water Works for the installation, construction, operation, and maintenance of water facilities within the rights- of-way of unincorporated Lewis County. Josh Metcalf discussed a public hearing to close out the Lewis County Fire District #3 CDBG General Purpose grant. Commissioner Swope made a motion to move two consent items, seven deliberation items and three hearings to the Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2022, BOCC agenda. Commissioner Brummer seconded. Motion passed 3-0. Roundtable Matt Jaeger said the county is 25 percent complete with its migration to Outlook 365. He said the jail door replacement project will kick off soon. Lee Napier noted that the permit center will close a little early at the end of the year. Josh Metcalf and Erika Katt discussed freezing rain and snow expected over the week and weekend. Amber Smith and Daleyn Coleman discussed recent and planned updates to the employee handbook and county policies. Eric Eisenberg said he is working with the Housing Authority to determine whether a county-owned building would meet its needs for a facility.
