Rieva Lester discussed a Treasurer’s Office resolution to cancel delinquent personal property and
mineral rights taxes from the tax collection system.
Jenn Libby-Jones discussed a resolution to approve a contract for hiring of 911 Telecommunicators with
Express Employment Professionals.
Josh Metcalf discussed the declaration of surplus vehicles and equipment.
Matt Jaeger discussed a resolution to prohibit the download, use, and access of TikTok on Lewis County
electronic devices and on Lewis County networks.
John Abplanalp discussed a resolution to approve Contract Amendment #5 between Lewis County and
Thurston County for Nurse Family Partnership (NFP) Services for 2023. John said he will look into how
many people the program is serving.
Commissioner Pollock made a motion to move two consent items and five deliberation items to the
Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2023, BOCC Business Meeting agenda. Commissioner Brummer seconded. Motion
passed 3-0.
Announcements / Wednesday Workshop
The commissioners commended Tammy Martin for her exceptional customer service skills.
Attendees discussed steps their offices and departments are taking to improve their work environments.
The group talked about how to best explain levy rates, assessments and levy recipients to constituents
in preparation of the release of the 2023 tax statements.
Becky Butler reminded the group to finish up year-end budget work.
Meeting ended at 9:50 p.m.
