Arny Davis started the Finance Committee meeting at 10:57 a.m. Rodney Reynolds has drafted a resolution to sweep all interest earned from unrestricted funds to the Lewis County General fund clearing. Rodney also discussed the Lewis County liquid investment portfolio. Rodney said $40 million was invested with Pacific Premier Bank December 20, 2022 for a higher return interest rate. Finance Committee ended at 11:12 a.m. Rodney discussed the Munis Treasurer revenue reports. Majority of the budgeted revenue has been collected for the 2022 year. Rodney noted the reports show a two month time delay. Larry Grove provided information from the year-to-date report for the general fund. Larry said there is a sixty day window for accounts payable to allow departments pay for invoices from the 2022 year. Larry said the W-2s, 1099s and the affordable care reporting are currently being processed. Larry said the accounting side of the Auditor’s Office is hiring. He feels there is a need for a senior financial analyst. Larry said Tom Stanton and Terry Jouper are in process of distributing ballots for the upcoming election. Larry has proposed a change for the assigned parking spaces at the motor pool parking area. Meeting adjourned 11:43 a.m.
