Rocky Lyon discussed a notice of hearing regarding compost procurement ordinance (Ordinance 1344).
Matt Jaeger discussed a request for proposals (RFP) for upgrades to the Juvenile Courtroom Technology
and Audio/Video Design and Installation.
Rieva Lester discussed a call for bids for official newspaper to publish all of Lewis County's legal and
other official notices for one year beginning July 1, 2023.
Matt Jaeger discussed a resolution to authorize the Director of Information Technology Services to
execute a purchase order with Cisco and Ednetics, an approved Cisco Partner.
Jenn Libby-Jones discussed a resolution to approve the 911 Director to execute a continued contract
with Everbridge Inc. for Lewis County Alert warning and notification services.
Josh Metcalf discussed a resolution to list the bids received and contractor selected for the Lewis County
Howe Road Rock Purchase.

Grace Jimenez discussed a resolution to ratify an Intergovernmental Cooperative Purchasing Agreement
between Lewis County and the State of Washington, Department of Enterprise Services.
Rodney Reynolds and Arny Davis discussed a resolution to amend the county’s General Fund clearing
investment allocation.
Becky Butler discussed a resolution to establish the rate of pay for a Broadband Project Manager.
Commissioner Pollock made a motion to move three notice items, two consent items and seven
deliberation items to the Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2023, BOCC agenda. Commissioner Brummer seconded.
Motion passed 3-0.
Wednesday Workshop
Amber Smith invited offices and departments to attend the upcoming review of the Employee
Handbook.
Becky Butler reminded offices and departments to wrap up year-end budgeting. She said the group met
with an archeologist for broadband work and will have a contract developed soon.
Ross McDowell discussed a $49,000 grant the county will receive. He said the grant will be used for
training.
Rodney Reynolds said Umpqua and Columbia Bank are merging.
2023 legislative session: Commissioner Swope encouraged offices and departments to review proposed
bills 1702 and 1703.
