Rapid Capital Housing Acquisition Grant: Rieva Lester said the topic would hold another week. Coordinated Entry contract with The Salvation Army: Meja discussed the proposed resolution. Commissioner Brummer made a motion to add to the agenda for the Aug. 15, 2023, Business Meeting a resolution to approve Contract #T01-180-22 Amendment A between The Salvation Army and Lewis County. Proposed Ordinance 1347, which would repeal and replace Chapter 8.60 to prohibit unauthorized camping and parking on county property and make a violation thereof a misdemeanor: Commissioner Swope discussed changes at the Administrative Office of the Court. Proposed homeless shelter policies for minors and for sexual offender verification: Commissioner Swope said he has drafted policies that he will review with legal and Public Health and Social Services. Proposed needle exchange program policy: Commissioner Swope said he has drafted a policy that he will review with legal, Public Health and Social Services and the county’s health officer. Lewis County Seniors: Commissioner Swope said he feels the county should remove Carol Brock as its representative on the Lewis-Mason-Thurston Area Agency on Aging. He said Carol said the Lewis County Seniors group will not fill vacancies on the Seniors board until the current members revise that group’s bylaws. David Bailey said the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office is looking into the matter. American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) project updates: Becky Butler said updates on ARPA projects will be presented Aug. 16. Southwest Washington Fair: No updates. Calendars: The commissioners discussed a Drug Court barbeque planned for later in the day. Minute folders: Commissioner Brummer made a motion to approve minute folders for the weeks of July 17 and July 24. Commissioner Swope seconded. Motion passed 2-0.
