Rodney Reynolds reviewed Lewis County investments.
Rodney provided the following updates:
• Sales and use tax is up 1.9 percent year-to-date over 2022.
• Revenue is on track as expected for the year.
• YTD revenues for the general fund are on track as expected for the year.
• YTD revenues for other funds are down about 6 percent from 2022 collection.
• As of July, YTD lodging taxes were up 1 percent over 2022.
Grace Jimenez provided the following updates:
• Elections expenditures are up due to increased costs for mailing, etc.
• YTD expenditures for Flood Control Authority professional services are high
Graham Gowing provided the following updates:
• Elections Office gearing up for November election
• New Recording Clerk will start Sept. 5
• State collects $6 per motorhome, trailer, etc. licensing fee as an abandoned RV disposal fee
