Public comment: None
Commissioner Pollock made a motion to amend the agenda to add broadband contract signature
authority. Commissioner Swope seconded. Motion passed 2-0.
Potential federal government shutdown impacts to Lewis County: Tabled for future conversation. This
could impact 911 and Fair projects if they are not currently under contracts.
Budget planning process: Ryan Barrett said budget amendment requests have closed and will be
presented to the Board for review at the next budget meeting.
Polco survey on community assessment: Ryan Barrett presented the previous Polco survey that was
provided to the community through the mailer. Becky said there is a 5-year contract with Polco and she
would like to use their services for another survey. Commissioner Swope would like to focus on financial
impacts to the citizens. Commissioner Pollock would like citizen input for improvements or what would
be considered as a prosperous future. Becky said Nic Scott would take the lead on implementing the
survey and its questions.
Broadband contract signature authority: Becky asked the Board to appoint a signature authority for the
Broadband Contracts. Commissioner Pollock made a motion to appoint County Manager Ryan Barrett as
the Broadband Contract signature authority. Commissioner Swope seconded. Motion passed 2-0.
Review performance of public employee: At 10:29 a.m., Commissioner Swope announced that the
Board was going into Executive Session under RCW 42.30.110(1)(g) until 10:33 a.m. to discuss the
performance for public employee.
Executive Session ended at 10:33 a.m. Commissioner Swope noted that no decisions had been made.
Meeting adjourned at 10:33 a.m.
