Becky Butler provided a presentation on the preliminary budget for 2024 as required by RCW 36.40.
Becky said the estimated year-end, as submitted, shows a use of $2.5 million use of reserves, which
reflects
The commissioners said they would like offices and departments to review their interfund rates and
provide documentation.
The group discussed potential options for reducing the deficit, including making cuts, using reserves,
using one-time monies, implementing furloughs, etc.
Becky said she’ll meet with the Citizens Budget Committee on Oct. 6.
