Graham Gowing spoke to the group to promote electronic W2 access. Graham said email notification went to all County users. DIRECTORS Josh Metcalf discussed a resolution to publish a Request for Proposals (RFP) for professional materials sampling, testing, and laboratory services for the Centralia Alpha Road Improvements Project (MP10.60- 11.85), CRP 2084. Doug Carey discussed a resolution to ratify signature for the Building Structural Upgrades contract for the new Information Technology building. Amber Smith discussed a resolution to establish the Lewis County Records Management Policy. Amber Smith discussed a resolution to amend the Lewis County Risk Management Policy Manual. Mindy Brooks discussed a resolution to reappoint Frank Corbin and Gretchen Fritsch to the Lewis County Planning Commission. Commissioner Brummer asked to table this discussion for the review of all the applications. Josh Metcalf discussed a resolution to approve a Master Interlocal Agreement between Lewis County and Lewis County Fire District 8 and authorize signatures thereon. Josh Metcalf discussed a resolution to adopt 2024 Equipment Rental and Revolving Fund (ER&R) rates for the Public Works Department. Ryan Barrett discussed a resolution to approve the First Amendment to the Agreement of purchase and sale of water assets by and between the City of Vader and Lewis County. Commissioner Pollock discussed a resolution to approve a long-range strategic plan for Lewis County. Commissioner Swope discussed a resolution to establish the Chair and Vice Chair for the Lewis County Board of County Commissioners for 2024. Commissioner Swope discussed a resolution to set Lewis County's 2024 mileage rate at 67 cents per mile effective Jan. 1, 2024. Becky Butler discussed a hearing for the Lewis County 2023 budget, emergency and supplemental appropriations to and transfers within current expense and other funds. Commissioner Brummer made a motion to move one notice item, two consent items, 9 deliberation items and one hearing to the Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2023, BOCC agenda. Commissioner Pollock seconded. This excludes the reappointment for the Planning Commission. Motion passed 3-0. Announcements: Commissioner Pollock said fireworks are legal for New Year’s Eve. Eric Eisenberg said work is proceeding with the interim shelter. Ross Nielson said the Assessor’s Office is in the process of calculating levies and budgets. His office visited local area senior centers to help promote senior / disabled exemptions. Wednesday Workshop: Shelter title insurance (proposed resolution for Dec. 27 Directors' Update / Jan. 2 Business Meeting) -- Eric Eisenberg. As part of the grant, title insurance is required. This is a renovation project. Commissioner Brummer spoke about the annual notification for the gas storage. Josh said Public Works has an annual inspection of the storage facility. Commissioner Swope said he attended a recent solar presentation. Commissioner Pollock said she feels the entity should work with local public utility groups. Meeting ended 9:53 a.m.
