Nicole Barr said there was a drop in provided meal numbers due to inclement weather. Beginning January 2024, there is a meal goal assigned to meet meal funding they need to meet to provide services. The reimbursement is for meals and food costs. They have the potential to receive the same funding as previous years, but this is determined by meal count. The more meals served; the more meals reimbursed. Nicole said she is unsure why the funding provisions have changed and will forward the information to the Commissioners. The changes were effective January 2024. Nicole discussed the 2023 profit and loss statement. Nicole estimates being on track for the same expenditures in 2024. Nicole said baskets for the raffle at the Night of Magic are still being accepted. Commissioner Swope said he would be interested in making a basket. Nicole said some other smaller events for the summer in the works as well. Nicole and Carol asked to discuss the new bylaws. It was noted that the item was not on the current agenda. It was also discussed by Commissioner Brummer that agenda items do need to be presented prior to the scheduled meetings. The meeting name will be the Lewis County Seniors / Lewis-Mason-Thurston Area Agency on Aging Advisory Council Update. Meeting adjourned at 4:14 p.m.
