BJ Kuykendall discussed a resolution regarding the declaration of surplus vehicles. BJ said he will remove a fire truck from the list if the county isn’t able to work through title issues by the end of the week. Josh Metcalf discussed the proposed vacation of an undeveloped right of way, being a continuation of undeveloped Beryl Road in Randle. Commissioner Pollock made a motion to move two consent items and two deliberation items to the Tuesday, March 12, 2024, BOCC agenda. Commissioner Swope seconded. Motion passed 3-0. Wednesday Workshop Roundtable: Attendees provided project and department updates: • Josh said the Airport Master Plan draft is out for review and that the airport and Central Shop projects will soon be put out to bid. • Doug Carey discussed senior center work that will be performed using state funding awarded in 2023. East County substation office bids received. Southwest Washington Clean Air Agency (SWWCA): Commissioner Swope said SWWCA approved a Westrock application and now wants to impose fines associated with the Westrock project. The commissioners noted that the Napavine Tigers Girls’ Basketball Team will attend the March 12 Business Meeting to celebrate the team’s State Championship. Correspondence: Commissioner Pollock said the county had received an email regarding derelict property along Shorey Road. County Manager performance review: At 9:29 a.m., Commissioner Brummer announced that the Board would be going into executive session under RCW 42.30.110(1)(g) until 9:45 a.m. to discuss the County Manager’s job performance. • At 9:45 a.m., Commissioner Brummer extended executive session until 9:55 a.m. • At 9:55 a.m., Commissioner Brummer extended executive session until 10:05 a.m. Executive session ended at 10:05 a.m. Commissioner Brummer noted that no decisions had been made. Meeting adjourned at 10:05 a.m.
