Senior Center facilities improvements/repairs: County Manager Ryan Barrett explained funding that
has been allotted based on repairs needed for the Lewis County senior centers.
• $45,000 for a roof replacement at the Toledo Senior Center
• $150,000 for roof replacement at the Twin Cities Senior Center
• $22,000 for acoustic ceiling repair to the Packwood Senior Center
• $40,000 for roof replacement at the Packwood Senior Center
• $61,000 for exterior repair to the Packwood Senior Center
• $105,000 for exterior repairs to the Winlock Senior Center
Ryan said based on the quotes from Facilities Director Alex Murray the total rough estimate came to
$423,000 out of the $500,000 granted.
Meals: Nicole Barr said there was close 2,200 meals served, and Nicole said the LCS is focusing on fresh
produce
Budget: Nicole Barr explained the budget and how the LCS is looking for new members.
Fundraising: Dusty Ross said there are several fundraising events in the works. Nicole said the Visiting
Nurses Thrift store is starting to break even in revenue versus expenditures.
Announcements: Nicole asked the Board to clarify certification needed for the next contribution
request. Commissioner Brummer said he would verify with Becky Butler. Nicole also asked about
switching to quarterly meetings. The Board agreed to switch to quarterly meetings going forward and
the meetings will no longer have Zoom.
