Richard DeBolt said signage for the new Economic Alliance building will be installed this week. They will
be having an open house September 5th at 2 pm. Richard said they have multi-language kiosks that
accommodate any language and can convert other languages to English. Richard said there are new ADO
compliance rules. New ADO reporting will integrate jobs and contracts into easy-to-distribute
information.
Todd Chaput said .09 Meeting on the 6th. Currently, there are no applications pending. Todd said the
Napavine Jefferson Sewer Station was the latest application
Commissioner Pollock suggested funding a traffic engineer through a .09 grant to facilitate
transportation and permitting within the UGAs. Richard and Todd were both in support.
Todd presented a DLC Tourism video and said there will be an influencer staying out in the east end of
Lewis County this week. Todd said there will be a both at the Southwest Washington Fair and will be
playing the video on loop.
Richard said there will be a golf tournament on the 15th of September.
October 3rd there will be an Economic Forecast that will feature two economists. There will be talk of
the BDO zones, including how they operate.
Richard said Fortescue will no longer be coming to Lewis County. The decision for the business to not
locate within Lewis County will impact the Pacific Northwest Hub funding. Richard said Mitsubishi is
creating a plant in Oregon and majority of the funding will be funneled there. Richard said even though
they will not be a part of Lewis County, there are still multiple projects occurring at the IPAT location.
Richard said the Economic Alliance was excited for fair week.
