Josh Metcalf discussed a resolu�on regarding the declara�on of surplus vehicles and equipment. He
reviewed the items being auc�oned.
Josh Metcalf discussed a resolu�on to list the bids received and contractor selected for up to six new
pursuit-rated SUVs .
Commissioner Pollock made a mo�on to move one no�ce item, two consent items and one delibera�on
item to the Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2024, BOCC agenda. Commissioner Swope seconded. Mo�on passed 3-0.
Announcements / new business
Becky Butler said all preliminary budgets have now been submited within limita�ons and that rough
budget numbers will be presented within the next couple weeks. She noted that sales tax has dropped.
Meja Handlen encouraged employees to donate toward and par�cipate in the Sept. 12 Employee Picnic.
The group discussed fundraising toward the crea�on of a marker at the Gary Stamper overlook.
Wednesday Workshop
Thurston County Timberland Regional Library (TRL) appointment: Rieva Lester said she had not yet
received requested informa�on from Thurston County regarding its recent TRL appointment.
East Lewis County Public Development Authority (ELCPDA) appointment: The commissioners said they
will discuss the mater Sept. 9.
Fish barrier removals: The commissioners said they will discuss the mater Sept. 9.
