East Lewis County Public Development Authority (ELCPDA): The commissioners directed Rieva Lester to draft a resolution to appoint Rob Maricle to the ELCPDA. Fish barrier removals: Commissioner Pollock expressed concern regarding the replacement of a culvert on the Newaukum Valley Road. Executive session: At 9:16 a.m., Commissioner Brummer announced that the Board would be going into executive session under RCW 42.30.110(1)(i) until 9:26 a.m. to discuss two topics: Sierra Pacific litigation and a timber trespass on Short Road. At 9:26 a.m., Commissioner Brummer extended executive session until 9:31 a.m. Executive session ended at 9:31 a.m. Commissioner Brummer noted that no decisions had been made. Commissioner Pollock made a motion to authorize and direct David Bailey to sign on the county’s behalf the revised settlement and stipulated order of judgement regarding the Sierra Pacific litigation. Commissioner Swope seconded. Motion passed 3-0. Commissioner Pollock made a motion to authorize the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office to send a demand letter to Rodney Meade regarding timber trespass as discussed in executive session. Commissioner Swope seconded. Motion passed 3-0. Minute folders: Commissioner Pollock made a motion to approve minute folders for the weeks of June 17; July 15, 22 and 29; and Aug. 5, 12 and 19. Commissioner Swope seconded. Motion passed 3-0. Meeting ended at 9:35 a.m.
