Rodney Reynolds opened the Finance Committee meeting at 10:35 a.m. Rodney presented slides for
Lewis County’s investment pool (LCIP). Investments that Lewis County purchases are rated AA and AAA
and federal or state backed investments. Arny Davis closed the Finance Committee meeting at 10:50
a.m.
Rodney said year to date sales tax revenue received is flat compared to last year. The Treasurer’s detail
show receipts of property tax revenue received. Rodney discussed revenue reports. Rodney said there
has been a 7.1 % increase in lodging tax received over last years receipts. Rodney said it appears that
Packwood is the largest contributor.
Grace Jimenez discussed the expenditure update. There haven’t been any major spikes in expenditures
other than indigent defense. Grace did indicate that there is a budget amendment for indigent defense.
Grace said her office is working on the accountability audit and there are no issues at this time.
Larry Grove said 55,740 ballots will be mailed today. Overseas ballots were sent out two weeks ago.
Larry said there are 56,390 people are register voters in Lewis County. Larry said you can register and be
issued a ballot the day of elections. Larry said ballot boxes are now open. Ballot pick-up will begin on
Monday, October 21.
Larry said there were Department of Licensing auditors both virtual and onsite.
