Business Meeting agenda: Commissioner Pollock made a motion to add to the agenda for the Jan. 7,
2025, BOCC Business Meeting one notice item, two consent items, 10 deliberation items and two
hearings. Commissioner Swope seconded.
• 25-001: Establishment of 2025 county road construction projects by County Forces. Josh Metcalf
discussed the resolution.
• 25-002: Approval of warrants / payroll.
• 25-003: Adopt 2025 Equipment Rental and Revolving Fund (ER&R) rates for Public Works. Josh
Metcalf reviewed the proposed resolution.
• 25-004: Approve Master Interlocal Agreements with Lewis County municipalities. Josh Metcalf
reviewed the proposed resolution.
• 25-005: Appoint one individual to a regular-member position and remove three individuals from
positions on the Veterans’ Advisory Board (VAB). Meja Handlen reviewed the proposed
resolution.
• 25-006: Approve Contract #R01-157-22 Amendment A with Reliable Enterprises. Meja Handlen
reviewed the proposed resolution.
• 25-007: Establish managerial enterprise fund - Solid Waste Utility Reserve Fund No. 4020. Grace
Jimenez reviewed the proposed resolution.
• 25-008: Authorize cash-flow loan from the General Fund No. 0010 to the Community
Development Block Grant Fund No. 1400. Grace Jimenez reviewed the proposed resolution.
• 25-009: Close the Lewis County Auditor Imprest Account. Grace Jimenez reviewed the proposed

• 25-010: Rescind Resolution 81-305 and increase petty cash fund for District Court. Grace

• 25-011: Approve a financial contribution agreement between Lewis County and Timber River
Connections (FKA Lewis County Seniors) for senior nutrition program support during calendar
year 2025. Becky Butler reviewed the proposed resolution.
• 25-012: Set Lewis County’s 2025 mileage rate at 70 cents per mile effective Jan. 1, 2025. Rieva
Lester reviewed the proposed resolution.
• 25-013: Non-exclusive franchise renewal to Newaukum Hill Water Association to install,
construct, operate and maintain water system facilities in Lewis County road rights-of-way. Josh
Metcalf reviewed the proposed resolution.
• 25-014: Non-exclusive franchise renewal to Hampton Lumber Mills-Washington, Inc. to install,
construct, operate and maintain stormwater system facilities in Lewis County road rights-of-
way. Josh Metcalf reviewed the proposed resolution.
Motion passed 3-0.
Public records training: Casey Mauermann invited participants to public records training with Assistant
Attorney General Morgan Damrow scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Jan. 8.
Executive session: At 9:18 a.m., Commissioner Brummer announced that the Board would be going into
executive session under RCW 42.30.110(1)(i) until 9:39 a.m. to discuss the following topics:
• Jail scanner litigation
• Tort claim - Sanchez
• Northwest Hardwoods
At 9:39 a.m., Commissioner Brummer extended executive session until 9:45 a.m.
Executive session ended at 9:45 a.m. Commissioner Brummer noted that no decisions had been made.
