Housing Resource Center: Ruth Gutierrez and Michael Manning provided an overview of the Housing Resource Center’s services. Becky Butler discussed a resolution to designate Lewis County representatives on the Washington Counties Risk Pool. Josh Metcalf discussed a resolution to list the bids received and contractor selected for the Bunker Creek Road HMA Project, CRP 2209. Josh Metcalf discussed a resolution to list the bids received and contractor selected for the 2025 Base Stabilization Project, Bunker Creek Road, CRP 2209. Josh Metcalf discussed a resolution to list the bids received and contractor selected for the 2025 Rock Purchase, Bunker Creek Road, CRP 2209. Josh Metcalf discussed a resolution to authorize request for amendment to Community Development Block Grant General Purpose Grant #21-62210-032 from the State Department of Commerce on behalf of Lewis County Water District 1. Rieva Lester and Commissioner Brummer discussed a resolution regarding continuing support for a basin-wide solution to flooding and aquatic species restoration. Rieva Lester discussed a resolution to update parameters for the Lewis County Citizens' Commission on Salaries for Elected Officials (Salary Commission). Rieva Lester discussed a resolution to appoint three individuals to the Lewis County Citizens' Commission on Salaries for Elected Officials (Salary Commission). Becky Butler discussed a hearing for the Lewis County 2024 budget, emergency and supplemental appropriations to and transfers within current expense and other funds. Commissioner Pollock made a motion to move two consent items, eight deliberation items and one hearing to the Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2025, BOCC agenda. Commissioner Swope seconded. Motion passed 3-0. Wednesday Workshop • Meja Handlen said 215 individuals were counted during the recent Chehalis Point in Time homeless count event. She noted that the Morton Point in Time count was delayed due to inclement weather. • Josh Metcalf reviewed recent road closures. East Lewis County Public Development Authority (ELCPDA) loan: Rieva Lester reviewed the ELCPDA’s request for loan forgiveness. She noted that the group’s meeting with the commissioners has been rescheduled for Feb. 24. Workers' comp claim: At 9:57 a.m., Commissioner Brummer announced that the Board would be going into executive session under RCW 42.30.110(1)(i) until 10 a.m. to discuss a workers’ comp claim. At 10 a.m., Commissioner Brummer extended executive session until 10:05 a.m. Executive session ended at 10:05 a.m. Commissioner Brummer noted that no decisions had been made. Commissioner Pollock made a motion to proceed with the workers’ comp claim as discussed during executive session. Commissioner Swope seconded. Motion passed 3-0. Meeting adjourned at 10:06 a.m.
