Public comment: None.
Eric Eisenberg discussed a resolution to ratify a change order for the Lewis County Permanent Shelter
Renovations contract with Schwiesow Construction Inc., Project #31-2408 Construction, for assembly of
an outdoor roof-covering (owner-requested closeout work).
Ryan Barrett discussed a resolution to accept a bid on tax title property off of Taylor Road, Chehalis.
Ryan Barrett discussed a resolution to approve Master Interlocal Agreements between Lewis County and
municipalities in Lewis County and authorizing signatures thereon.
Scott Brummer discussed a resolution to dedicate the Expo Hall at Southwest Washington Fairgrounds in
memory of Lee Coumbs.
Commissioner Swope made a motion to move two consent items and four deliberation items to the
Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2025, BOCC Business Meeting agenda. Commissioner Brummer seconded. Motion
passed 2-0.
Spotted owl litigation: At 9:10 a.m., Commissioner Brummer announced that the Board would be going
into executive session under RCW 42.30.110(1)(i) until 9:15 a.m. to discuss spotted owl litigation.
Executive session ended at 9:15 a.m. Commissioner Brummer noted that no decisions had been made.
Commissioner Swope made a motion to proceed with the spotted owl litigation with new counsel as
discussed in executive session. Commissioner Brummer seconded. Motion passed 2-0.
Announcements / new business
Becky Butler discussed recent Risk walk-throughs at the shelter.
Mindy Brooks said Community Development will send the Comprehensive Plan out to directors for
review on Feb. 14.

Legislative update: The commissioners provided the following stances on proposed bills:
