Rodney said once expenditures are completed for February, preliminary final numbers will be available for 2024. Rodney said sales tax saw an 11.1% drop over last year for the month of January. Rodney said trends nationwide have shown similar lows in sales tax collections. Rodney said lodging tax collections is up for January 2025. Sales tax interest for lodging tax collections can be swept to current expense. Grace Jimenez said there has not been a lot of activity for the general fund report. Grace said a new fund is on the report. Cost allocation now shows on the reporting features. Larry Grove said the February special election is wrapping up. There was approx. 39% voter turnout. Larry said the elections specialist resigned and Larry asked for approval to post the position. Larry said licensing is in the process of a major update. This update comes from the Department of Licensing. He said online recording has increased. Commissioner Swope asked about the CPACER program. Rodney suggested seeking legal counsel for advice and review. Grace said it is a special assessment that needs passed through ordinance. Meeting adjourned at 10:56 a.m.
