Public comment: None.
Mindy Brooks discussed a notice of a public hearing to consider approval of Ordinance 1362, which
would amend Chapter 15.05 - Building Codes - of Lewis County Code.
Ryan Barrett discussed a resolution to list the bids received and award the contract for the Historic
Courthouse Masonry Rehabilitation Project.
Meja Handlen discussed a resolution to approve Contract #SWMLSWFA-2023-LCPHSS-00161,
Amendment No. 1, between the State of Washington, the Department of Ecology and Lewis County.
Mindy Brooks discussed a resolution to provide final approval of the Providence Heights subdivision
located within the City of Centralia Urban Growth Area (UGA).
Rieva Lester discussed a resolution to appoint / re-appoint individuals to the Lewis-Mason-Thurston
Area Agency on Aging (LMTAAA) Advisory Council. The commissioners said they would like to reappoint
Greg Rohr, Debbie Aust, Tim Wood and Heidi Buswell and to appoint Willie Merryman and Nikki Storms.
Commissioner Pollock made a motion to move one notice item, two consent items and four
deliberation items to the Tuesday, April 8, 2025, BOCC agenda. Commissioner Swope seconded.
Motion passed 3-0.
Wednesday Workshop
East Lewis County Public Development Authority (ELCPDA) request regarding .09 / Distressed Counties
loan: Commissioner Brummer said he will discuss the potential of removing interest on the loan and
extending the amortization with the ELCPDA board during the group’s April 8 meeting.
Request to unfreeze Community Development Planner 1 position: Commissioner Pollock made a
motion to unfreeze the Community Development Planner 1 position effective April 2, 2025.
Commissioner Swope seconded. Motion passed 3-0.
