Public comment: None.
Geoff Soderquist discussed a notice for the publication of 2024 County Forces road construction projects
and costs.
Linda Mastin and Alex Murray discussed a resolution to list the bids received and award the contract for
the Winlock Senior Center Exterior Envelope Remodel.
Eric Eisenberg discussed a resolution to ratify a change order for the Lewis County Permanent Shelter
Renovations contract with Schwiesow Construction Inc., Project #31-2408 Construction, relating to work
identified in closing out the renovations.
Becky Butler discussed a resolution to ratify a contract between Lewis County Public Works and
Populous Inc. to provide services for engineering and design for the proposed equestrian center at the
Southwest Washington Fairgrounds.
Gabe Anzelini discussed a resolution regarding the declaration of surplus personal property.
Becky Butler discussed a hearing for the Lewis County 2025 budget, emergency and supplemental
appropriations to and transfers within current expense and other funds.
Commissioner Pollock made a motion to move one notice item, two consent items, three deliberation
items – leaving Populous off – and one hearing to the Tuesday, April 15, 2025, BOCC Business Meeting
agenda. Commissioner Swope seconded. Motion passed 3-0.
Announcements / new business
Geoff Soderquist said the issues discussed April 8 regarding Vader Water have been resolved.
Mindy Brooks discussed the previous night’s Planning Commission hearing in Packwood.
TJ Snodderly discussed the recently completed jail kitchen repair / remodel.
Gabe Anzelini discussed upcoming Windows updates.
Commissioner Swope, Alex Murray and others discussed bid laws and local bidders.
Wednesday Workshop
East Lewis County Public Development Authority (ELCPDA) Distressed Counties grant request:
Commissioner Brummer said he spoke to the ELCPDA and said the county would consider forgiving
interest and re-amortize the loan over 20 years. The commissioners directed staff to work on an
agreement.
Bigfoot correspondence: The commissioners agreed to sign a letter to Miss Andrews’ fifth-grade class in
response to their request for Bigfoot protections.
