Marylynne Kostick discussed a resolution to approve Contract #T03-0234-25 between Thurston County and Lewis County. Mindy Brooks discussed a resolution to provide final approval of the Evergreen Grove subdivision located within the city of Chehalis urban growth area (UGA). Wes Anderson discussed a resolution to approve Amendment No. 2 between Lewis County and WSP USA to increase the amount payable by $1,500,000 for engineering design services for improvement of the Reynolds Road/Harrison Avenue Corridors. Ryan Barrett discussed a resolution to define parameters and anticipated uses of $10.2 million in funding for the North Lewis County Industrial Access - a joint project between Lewis County and the City of Centralia. Mindy Brooks discussed the continuation of the hearing for Ordinance 1363 to amend Chapter 1.20 - General Penalty and Fines, Civil Penalty and Notices of Violation - of county code (continuation of hearing recessed during May 13, 2025, BOCC Business Meeting). Becky Butler discussed a hearing to adopt Ordinance 1364 to amend Chapter 2.40, Standards for Public Defense Services, of the Lewis County Code. Commissioner Swope made a motion to move two consent items, four deliberation items and two hearings to the Tuesday, May 20, 2025, BOCC agenda. Commissioner Brummer seconded. Motion passed 2-0. Roundtable Department heads provided updates, including the following: • Becky Butler: Replacement of west side of 4-H roof has been completed. Relay for Life event planned for the fairgrounds over the weekend. Internal Service Funds need to establish their rates. • Mindy Brooks: Final Planning Commission meeting on the Comprehensive Plan took place May 13. • Wes Anderson: ROAD-eo is May 22. • Meja Handlen: Homeless Housing and Veterans monitoring continues.
