Steve discussed a part time position that he has in his office for project help. In the DEM 2015 Budget
there is funding for a part time position.
Steve discussed the levy inspections from the Corp of Engineers. Tim has spoken with the Corp; they are
doing them every other year. They are not long going to do annual tours. There was discussion having
the Commissioners go on a tour of the local levies.
Steve reported that he needs some work on his office space to get it up and running. Commissioner
Schulte stated the Commissioners wanted this room up and running by November 1, 2015.
Tim discussed a letter that was sent to the Prosecutor’s Office regarding the letter to Attorney General
Robert Ferguson regarding the Department of Fish and Wildlife letter.
The Board went into executive session at 10:15 for 7 minutes to under RCW……to discuss real estate
purchase.
Glenn Carter joined the meeting and the Board extended the executive session at 10:22 am for 10
minutes to discuss pending litigation
The Board came out of executive session at 10:32 am with the following discussion.
Executive Session
Commissioner Schulte made a motion to sign on to the letter regarding WDFW. Commissioner Schulte
amended motion to have the Chair of the BOCC sign the letter. Commissioner Stamper seconded the
motion.
Motion carried 3-0.
There was a discussion on a SEPA review that is for a property in the City of Chehalis. Public Works has
to respond regarding the traffic study by October 20, 2015.
